Heater radiator. Hi to all,Been away on a highland tour of about 257 miles, started to heat up but had not lost any more than about a cup full of water. But the heater radiator was leaking into the casing and air was able to get into the system, so I have replaced the heater radiator and fitted a bleed valve above the heater so that it is easy to bleed out the air from the system. The air lock was the main cause of the overheating problem, but the electric fan fitted in front of the engine radiator saved the day and got us home. Good thinking! having had the same problem in the past, I simply rerouted the Heater hoses so it completely bypassed the heater matrix. Always good to have a few alternatives but I love your idea of a bleed valve! ---------------------- | Sat 16 Jul 2011 @ 16:11 |
