Bedford work stopped.

Hi to all,

All work has had to stop our daytime temp has dropped to 5c below freezen and our temp tonight is 10c below, not the worst I have seen but still too dam cold for a grease monkey never mind a brass one.
I was to be testing a fridge I was gifted for the camper but the water containers I placed inside are frozen solid without it being switched on.
So the whole van is now a fridge and the workshop is not much better, its a case of work for an hour and then go back to the house and gently melt.
Could this be the reason Santa does not run a Bedford CF, still if nothing else it should stop the doom mongers going on about global warming, if it is warming its not happening here.

Doug.

Hi Doug,

Global warming is a misnomer! It's what the idiots in power try to make us believe. Once we believe it they can increase taxation in order to stop it!!!!!

Of course it won't stop, in fact we are probably going into the next ice age, but of course I could be wrong......unlike our Met office who always get it right, well, sometimes..........!

When we start to believe what politicians say, we are doomed!!!!

Track record springs to mind!

Bedford work started again.

Hi to all,

The frost has lifted the weather mild time to get started again, first job a nice inside one remove and checkover my fridge.
Works well on mains but poor on battery and not at all on gas, and since I got a gift of a much younger fridge I thought I would swap them over.
But first I would have to check out all the wiring and switches, found the reason for it not working on gas disconnected with clear signs of a fire on the woodwork behind the fridge.
A fire is never good but this one would have been above the petrol tank and right next to the tank filler neck, hence the reason when I had the tank out a while back the air vent pipe was all melted, the prevous owner has been very lucky I think!
Anyway mains and 12v circuits all tested and working but had to change coupling pipes for the gas being a newer fridge sizes were differant, so yet to be tested for gas use.
Hope to get all testing finished tomorrow then get back to my carb conversion
now that all the faulty parts have been replaced.

Doug.

Hello Doug,
Can't believe the change in weather. Ann and myself popped over to Edinburgh this afternoon and there were people walking around with bare arms; of course, we were dressed up like Artic explorers.

Bedford work started again.

Hi Rae,

Good to see you back on the site, I am sticking to inside jobs for now and there is plenty to keep me busy.

Doug.
