Welcome to the site, madrat. When you say doesn't run right can you be more specific?Although people have fitted other engines, there is a lot of work involved. It may be easier to fix your problem before going down that road. ---------------------- | Sun 03 Feb 2013 @ 15:20 |

hi, i've had a mechanic look at it and he can't suss it out, get it running ok for a bit then needs to be run on choke??? he's thinking the valves may need the lead free fuel seating thingy lol, but at the cost of that i'd prefer to put a more modern engine in as i'll be using the truck to take my mini me away in the summer as much as poss and that'd be a nightmare breaking down with him | Sun 03 Feb 2013 @ 18:31 |

Hi I had a similar problem with mine. I have a 2.3 petrol with a webber carb. There is a small spring connecting the choke with a flap that had come off of mine and i had to run with the choke out unless on a higher speed run. I have used a spring from my set of Allen keys and this has fixed the problem..... Andy ---------------------- | Tue 05 Feb 2013 @ 14:33 |
