Jag/Chevy hubs on a CF2 rear axle Can anyone tell me if it is possible to fit Jag/Chevy hubs on a 1984 CF2 rigid rear axle or is it a case of replacing the whole axle. I'm not too worried about independent suspension. At the moment the van has adaptor plates but the wheel nuts holding the adaptor plate on sit proud of the plate so the wheel is being tightened against the nuts rather than the plate.---------------------- | Mon 25 Mar 2013 @ 19:58 |

Jag rear axle. Hi JKR22,I have seen one CF2 with a Jaguar rear axle but I am not sure what changes they had to make to get it all worked out and fitted. But it was someone one this site quite some time ago, I was considering a higher geared rear axle myself at that time but repaired the salisbury that was fitted. there are a few ways of doing this.. 1: is to fit a complete rear axle with sub frame off a jag in place of the rear axle you have now. this will mean fitting new plates to the Bedford floor to accept the jag set up... 2: to get your hubs re-drilled to jag/chevy pattern. not an easy job but possable. 3: use proper adapter plates which are at least 30mm in depth, they bolt to the exciting hub with standard nuts, the wheels are held by metric bolts into the threaded adaptor plate. | Mon 25 Mar 2013 @ 20:56 |
