steering

hi, I have never owned a Bedford before. I had a mk2 transit and I know it had a steering box fitted but I can't see in my Bedford manual anything about a steering box. if it doesn't have one could someone explain how dose it steer.

It has a more modern and better "Rack and Pinion" fitted.
Google "how steering rack works" for more information

Hi,there is no steering box on a Bedford.the steering is a Rack and Pinion.Cheers,Jim.

can't lower the seat as its on a metal box. anyway I'm 6'4 knees would be touching my chin.

Hi,I fitted a set of Volvo front seats in my Bedford.I had to raise them up by fittig box section to the floor first.Now I have full range backwards and forwards.May be this may inspier you.Cheers,Jim.
