looking at the photos I would say Brook Thompson were the suppliers and the makers are Briggs & Stratton. The shp is 5hp, almost as powerful as the CF

Any chance of a general photo and not a closeup

the guys on http://www.smokstak.com/forum/index.php may be able to help, I got a lot of info from here for my 3hp clinton engine which is similar to your Briggs & Stratton engine
