roof covering

on my Glendale it has an ali. roof which although it is secure it isn't stuck on the roof board. it may have been glued when first fitted 35 years ago. what I want to know is if I secured it with screws with silicon all over them would it be stll waterproof or should I inject glue into it

If it's secure, why do you need to screw it down?

using screws will only make the roof worse .

the aluminium needs enough room to expand in the heat and will eventually cause any screws you put in to enlarge the holes allowing water to enter .

silicone is not recommended for roofs as it has no give and dry's up and cracks with sunlight.

best item to use is sikaflex or tigerseal as both stay rubbery and form a water tight seal.
