Ready for the road.

Hi to all,

I think I have checked over everything that needs checking and the food is bought and in the freezer until tomorrow, won't be setting off until after half five because of babysitting duties.
But that should mean a bit less traffic around Edinburgh on that A720 by-pass, I sometimes wonder if it would be as quick to go through Leith and head on down the A1.
It all depends on the time of day, but the good thing is I am in no great hurry, just everybody else that seems to be.

The last time I headed down the A1 from Edinburgh there were loads of speed cameras on the road. At least that's one thing you don't have to worry about in a CF

Thirlstane rally.

Hi to all,

A quite successful weekend at Thirlstane I managed to pick up some lead additive and multi-purpose grease, WD-40 and a spare Vauxhall alternator all for forty quid so not a bad weekend.
And met up with some of the Bedford brigade one of them won third prize for the best light commercial.
Traffic was bad on the way home and the cross winds on the forth road bridge made life interesting, noticed the Bedford was blowing out a wee bit of oil but having checked the level it seems to be using less than a half pint per hundred miles.
And that's not too bad for an old 1981 with 90,000 miles under its belt.
