Still faulty.

Hi to all,

In spite of all my soldering up of connections in the starter loom today while doing a few adjustments I saw a bit of smoke and few sparks when I turned the key to start, on closer inspection I found another loose wire on the solenoid.
On the second attempt to start the engine just rolled over very slowly, so out came the starter motor to get enough space to remake and solder up yet another bad connection.
So let's hope I have finally found and repaired all the shoddy connections in this starter loom before my journey at the weekend down to the Albion rally.

Our change in population.

Hi to all,

This change seems to have increased crime in every way including vehicle theft and easy to steel motors like these old Bedford's and classic cars is on the increase, so an isolator switch tucked away some where on one would think of looking is worth considering.
But for now I have found an old handbrake gearstick locking devise which was used back in the sixties and as the description implies it locks the vehicle into a high gear and covers the handbrake lever.
Not high tec but maybe enough to change a would be thief's mind!
