Generating.

Hi to all,

Generating your own power on a site like the sites used at the rallies seems to be upsetting to some people who don't have a need to, and that is very nice for them but when on hook-up's are provided and you don't have the modern £60,000 type of campervan or should I say motorhome but instead an old Transit or Bedford type motor it is the only cheap way to provide your own power.
At the Biggar rally I had a visit from a guy who came to tell me how much he hated the genie noise I was creating, and how his motorhome needed no such device and pointed out that his motor was not in the rally being shown but towing the show motor he owned.
Where as I drove mine on the road with all the costs that were involved and lived in it at the rallies and used it through out the year, its cost when bought was £1750,00 followed buy a lot of hard work and several thousand pounds
and was all paid for!
He did not like that and stomped off muttering to himself (wee shame).

People can be really arrogant and unsympathetic sometimes. Glad you sent him away with a flea in his ear :)

A fea in his ear.

Hi Mike,

I have came across this attitude quite a few times over the time I have owned this old Bedford, that look as if to say "your not parking that old tub next to my motorhome are you"!
As I said to one well healed guy last year, do you think your motorhome will still on the road thirty two years from now, "mine is".
