Cancelling the rallies.

Hi to all,

Having managed to get to the Kelso rally it is now clear that I will be cancelling the other rallies for this year due to my wife's rapidly advancing illness and the care she will need over the coming weeks of the summer.

Putting our house in order.

Hi to all,

With relatives informed and gathering and banks putting through transfers of names and McMillan finally on board plus visits from doctors who seem to be realising what they had missed six years ago on the old scans, life has become a very strange place.
But so far we are managing and accepting as we move through each day and week, to all the thousands who have been through this before us I say courage you have shown out strips any shown on any battle-field with no medals to show what you have been through.

So very sad to read this Doug, hopes and wishes to both of you and I hope the fact that others are thinking of you is of some comfort...

Comfort in friendship.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your thoughts it is a comfort to me, wither it is the length of time it took the NHS to find out what the problem was or not I don't know, but this cancer is moving very fast and the pain control is chasing to keep up.
But we are still hoping we can reach her birthday at the end of July when she will be sixty nine.

Cornhill.

Hi to all,

Yesterday Margaret went into Cornhill hospice because pain control at home was failing and she was in need of some twenty-four hour care, a scan tomorrow will give a better assessment of where we are in the progress of this alien invader.
Going by the tick-tack between doctors things are moving at a quicker pace, but I have asked them to be straight and up front about where we are in this journey.

Rallies.

Hi Crawford,

Yes it is a bad time for us at the moment, there is a chance that I might get out to Scone on the 10th of September depending on how things are at that time.
But we are just working a day at a time so the future is very uncertain, she was home for the weekend but returns to Cornhill today.

Hi to all,

There nothing anyone can do the Cornhill doctors and nurses are doing all that they can with the drugs available to them, if they can get the pain control right that is all we can hope for but the problem is she cannot tolerate morphine unless it is through the skin by patches or injection.
They have said once they get the pain under control they will send her home until the last few weeks of her life.

Scone.

Hi to all,

It is looking like the Scone rally will be out for this season like all the others earlier in the year as we face a worsening situation day by day, I know where I need to be and facing this unstoppable invader is what we will do together.

Scone rally.

Hi to all,

The sun shone for them for most of their weekend and by what I have been told it was a good turnout of vintage and classic road and farm vehicles both from up north and down south, I might be able to get there next year.
