Pre-MOT checks.

Hi to all,

It is getting close to that time again to try and get another years test cert.
so a few checks adjustments and a bit of grease in all the right places.
I don't know how many more MOT's I can squeeze out of this old Bedford, this one be its seventh in my owner-ship and it becomes a bit more of a challenge every year.

Hidden problems.

Hi to all,

Going through my list of checks and ticking them off as I go when I notice a crack in the drivers door-step and after a clean up of the area an inner-wing hole, so instead of adding it to my list I thought just get it welded up with plates and some light angle-iron, nasty surprise taken care of.
Still got a few things on my list that I need to look at but I have got the prop-shaft greased the diff oil level checked and the gearbox level checked,
suspension and exhaust are checked but still got that annoying oil drip, it does seem to be less but not cured.
MOT is on March fifteenth so I still have some time to sort out any other problems that might pop up.

Oil seals,

Hi Jim,

Make sure its not your re-worked prop-shaft that is not tearing the seals!

Booking a MOT.

Hi to all,

Tomorrow I shall go and book in my old Bedford for an MOT test, around the fifteenth of the month.

What's it worth.

Hi to all,

What is a sense-able price to ask for when selling my Bedford with a full years MOT on it, it is an 1981 face-lift with an over-drive gearbox a 2.3 engine and is used on the road all year.

Mot next Tuesday.

Hi to all,

So next Tuesday will be MOT day so by this weekend I will have to have everything checked in the hope that the MOT man does not find something that I have missed, then I can start to think about the season of rallies ahead.
Rallies that I go to not to win anything just to shop for spare parts to keep the old Bedford on the road.
