Rear brake drums

Greeting to all you from Cape Town South Africa.
I have a 1970 Bedford CF.I replaced the rear brake cylinders and now I am struggling to get the drums back on.
Please help.Thanks

Drums.

Hi Warrenh,

That is a common problem and it is normally because the spring loaded cross shaft is not located properly into the slot in the brake shoe, the cross shaft sits between the shoes above the hub.
Make sure you free off and turn back the manual adjusters so that the cross shaft locates properly.

Water leaks.

Hi Wotnot,

This is not uncommon and is normally from the windscreen rubber seal or the top of the inner wing where the outer wing meets the windscreen mask, directly above the fuse-box.
Apart from sealing these area's I have moved the fuse-box to one side out of line of that leak risk area.
