The MOT agenda.

Hi to all,

Over the period of the last three MOT tests I have detected a real effort of the testers to put as many older vehicles off the road as possible most of which are classic vehicles like my old Bedford and are very often better maintained than a lot of newer motors in use on the roads daily and doing very high mileages.
Having been an MOT tester I was always told never to judge by the reg. plate but this seems to be what I find them to be doing, on my last MOT test the guy was quite disappointed to find so few faults and on the retest carried out a full hours retest on the whole vehicle.
Not as I would have done in just checking that the fail points had been repaired to a satisfactory standard.

Hi bluebedouin,

Maybe they should be a bit more concerned about the spread of nuclear war-head production which is often followed by testing and damaging the atmospheric layers of the earth we live on, no comparison!!
