Bedford engine recon.

Hi Mark,

My inquiries into rebuilding a Bedford CF engine was very costly about £1500.00 Plus carriage costs so I bought a second-hand one, other have changed to Ford engines.

CF Engine.

Hi Mark,

Why not rebuild the one you have got or by an old one and have that rebuilt, engine's are getting very hard to find in a useable state.
How bad a state is your 73 engine in with regard to bottom end ware and compression readings, with that information it will give you a point at which to start.

Some parts that maybe usefull.

Hi Mark,

I have found some engine parts that might be of interest to you, but they are just bits of an engine, a slant four 2.3.
I don't know what year of CF they have came out of but most likely late 70s, they consist of an engine block, four pistons and four con-rods a sump and a crank-shaft.
But no cylinder head it seems to have be sold on its own for conversion to unleaded petrol.

why not fit a mini electric fuel pump near the tank and that's 1 major problem sorted
