Indicator and horn

Hi all - I am a new owner of a 1983 CF230 motor home. I’ve just registered it as an historic vehicle and am in the process of sorting out a few niggles - I am a bit stumped with having no horn or indicators, there seems to be power to and beyond the fuses. Could it be the stalk that is the problem? Is this a common issue and anyone know of how I can fix it?

Are you any good with a multimeter? Is there power getting to the horn? Have you checked the flasher unit for the indicators?

Hi

Apologies for the slow response, just been back on van now and there is power to the switch assembly. I can get the indicators on permanently by touching two terminals, the indicator terminals don’t look like they are touching anything when the stalk is moved and so don’t have a brightness that would show something making impact with them. I can see the horn contacts. The headlight hi/low and flash works ok
