After getting the carb back together and all working well again (seems to be working well, but stil backfiring when coasting downhill..) , got a nail thru the tyre. Thinking back to my airride fix using 'Shoe Goo', I tried the same on the tyre. (Pulled out the nail, drilled a hole for the syringe nozzle and squirted in the nasty black stuff, then turned the wheel so the hole was at the lowest point) an lo! pumped up tyre next day and its held pressure for 2 weeks no probs. Had balance checked- no probs. Why carry a spare?
If it suddenly deflates, Ill let you know, but the airride is still doing fine!
Next on the shoo goo fix is to find some tuolene thinners to give all my window rubbers a coat. If it saves me a million miles of new rubbers for a while, Im quids in. (Still the same tube!).
