Up Date on Bedford Progress.

Hi to all who struggle,

The weather has been very unkind up here to anyone daft enough to work outside, so I have spent some time and money on buying spares.
Mainly secondhand but some new, the big money has went on an engine to rebuild, a carb. and hopefully a gearbox in the near future.
But my next big outside job is going to be makeing up coilsping carrier plates to fit on the rear axle and chassis legs, should be great fun, praying for dry weather.
The carb has made a big improvement in the running and hopefully to fuel consumtion, the adjustments work on this one.
Managed to pick up some cb-points and a spare clutch cable, an alternator belt and a radio-disc player, nice inside job on a cold day.
I have got some new stuff for resealing the roof, but if the weather keeps going like its been I think the van will sink before I can get it done, (wonder what Noah used, must have been good anyway).

Doug.

If there's a B&Q or Homebase or some other DIY type shop near you, the best 'quick fix' for a leaky roof is bathroom sealant. Comes in a tube and you just squirt it in the cracks. Wet or not it still sets and forms a watertight seal.
