Another small step.

Hi all you Bedford people,

Today I managed to seal up a leak in my gas supply pipes to the hob and oven and fridge, I used compressed air the find out where it was and once sealed I made up a connection with a tyre valve so that I could leave the whole system at a set pressure of 7bar.
I then used that pressure to blow out all the dirty muck blocking up the burners, then connected up to a full gas cylinder and gave the system time to fill up and all burners lit first time.
Time to put the kettlr on.

Doug.

hi Doug

Sounds like a good way to check system, I need to check mine once Phil has finished. How easy is it to get access to gas pipes ?

Margaret

Now I've read this, I plan to check mine this way. I assume the connection from tyre to gas pipe is just a rubber hose and jubilee clips?
