Mike, youve obviously seen this:

http://www.bedfordcf.co.uk/br/br24.htm

which might give you some ideas, but if going from scratch, get some fridge freezer boxes from currys/ comet to mock up an interior that suits you for nowt. Once youve done that, you have templates for when you transfer to wood.

athernatively, theres always plenty of caravan / motorhome furniture on ebay that might fit.

The original Landcruiser furniture isnt short of quirkiness- cupboard doors are a bit small, the wardrobe / loo is cramped, to say the least and the table isnt the easiest to put up, nor the sturdiest and makes it difficult to get into the cab. That said, It fits and works as might be expected of that era.

The most striking quirkiness (to me) is that the units dont really go with the window layout- creating a bit of creative curtainry!

If you want measurements of the original furniture, Im willing to get busy with a tape measure- Im slowly making a 3d drawing of my beddy in Google Sketchup anyway so it will happen in due course!

Best of luck with whichever approach you take- decide what you want in yor beddy, for how many people and go for the most luxurious arrangement you can. After all the work, you'll deserve it!

Regards
Mike

I have a caravan which i am going to use to build interior but its the windows i am not sure about. It has no interior at all at moment lol.
Would maybe have liked to keep original external appearence but new seals are about £200 which is a lot to me.
Have got caravan windows which i could fit but they are the plastic type & am going to have to modify apatures to fit,Think i will probably go this way tho.

JJEEEZZZZ Mike - sorry to hear that......b*****strds need stringing up

Are the window flat glass? If so, a good quality glass supplier would be able to cut you up some new ones from the proper stuff (not greenhouse glass:x ). They grind the edges to polished state. No idea of cost, sorry:C .

Have you tried 'Woolies Trim' http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/DEFAULT.ASPX
for the rubber seals?

sorry i cannot be of much more help........:#
Carl

Finally got cotter pin out of steering rack today, had to take rack out completely & use 20 ton pess to remove it.
Not been out for 40 years i supose lol.
Track rod ends were almost as bad, ended up with extractor & bottle jack under them to achieve it.....
Bit more enthusiastic now though, get that back together, then sort steps out & small amount of electrics to sort, mainly horn & no.plate light.
Replace aindicator switch then try for mot.

The horn switch is a pretty simple affair- I remember cleaning mine up when I had horn problems- Ive added to the other post. Its not too difficult to solder in a new contact and make good that way

Unfortunately my health/finances have deteriated further so reluctantly i come to realise that i am never going to get this done.
So very reluctantly she has to go to someone who can give her the future she deserves.
Doors are off at moment, needs steps welded at bottoms.
steering uj has been replaced, wiring sorted, starts on button.
Brakes etc all now working.
Interior stripped, still has drivers seat so drives ok..
I have all windows etc.
More info in above posts.

Mike, thats sad news- I was hoping that Wanda would be your passport to freedom and better health- perhaps she just needed too much doing. Its been great to see your enthusiasm and openness in the club- and seeing your ideas develop has been superb. Whatever happens, I hope you find Wanda a good new home and stay in touch with us all. Perhaps you'll find a project CF that doesnt need so much work!
Good luck

Such a shame after all the work you have done so far. It can become a money drain....and I only know too well about that, but I am working so I guess its not so bad for me. Hope you will keep in touch.
