Just when you think its safe to travel.
Hi to all,
All repairs done with a new core plug and a thermostat, fitted an electic fan and moved the radiator back an inch and a quarter to improve engine driven cooling fans effect,(and it has.)
Topped up the heater so turned on blower fan to speed two, switch gave a pop so did a fuse, (fan switch had shorted out) Oh what fun!
So one new two speed fan switch and a fuse, then all the dash board lights came back on ( hooray).
But after a short drive up the a9 the charge light came on, so we limped back home and checked the charge rate at the battery, not a flicker of a volt.
Picked up a secondhand alternator and fitted it to day now charged up at 14.5 volts, should I risk a test drive tomorrow?
I think a past owner is having a laugh from the other side, and its rained all day so my gess is he is ing himself.
Doug.

The safest option Doug is to just leave it parked outside your house and pretend you are away somewhere else ?
