newbie

hi all, well we have invested in our new to us 1981 bedford cf 2.3 petrol-pioneer(mouthful or what)??
She needs some work inside but she is in pretty good nick for the age, has been sat for around 3 years we gave her a once over but with a jump start she runs as sweet as nut, very impressed!! the only problem we have is that the clutch does not seem to work i understand they can fuse while being sat for to long, and that they can release if you run the engine for a good while?? well we did this and still no joy:? any ideas as i need to move the beastie asap

With the engine warmed up try starting it in top gear with the clutch pedal depressed and the brakes applied. If you're lucky then the clutch will free off, usually with a bang.

Worst case is having to remove the gearbox and clutch housing to dismantle the clutch to break the grip of corrosion holding the centre plate linings to the flywheel &/or pressure plate.
